Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with SuperK 3PL — from getting started to how we handle containers, orders, and shipping across Canada.

We work with two main client types. Canadian ecommerce brands — primarily Shopify merchants — who need reliable pick and pack fulfillment, same-day dispatch, and coast-to-coast Canadian shipping. And overseas importers, particularly from China, who ship ocean containers into Canada and need warehousing, deconsolidation, and B2C parcel distribution. Many of our clients are both — they import their own goods and then fulfill direct to Canadian consumers.
Yes — we are live and operational at all three Canadian locations and actively onboarding new clients. Reach out via info@superk3pl.com and we'll get back to you promptly.
Email us at info@superk3pl.com with a brief summary of your product type, approximate monthly order volume, and which warehouse location you're interested in. We'll share our rate card and arrange a quick call to walk through your requirements. Onboarding is straightforward and typically takes a few days once we've aligned on rates and setup.
No. We currently have no minimum order requirements and no long-term contracts. You're not locked in. That said, our pricing is structured around actual usage — the more volume you run through our network, the more cost-effective your per-order rate becomes.
We do not handle licensed goods such as tobacco, cigarettes, firearms, or chemicals. We also do not offer temperature-controlled or frozen storage. If your product falls into any of these categories we won't be the right fit — better to know upfront than after onboarding. We cannot store or ship: tobacco, cigarettes, firearms, chemicals, or any goods requiring temperature control or refrigeration.
Yes. All three of our facilities are equipped to receive full containers including 20GP, 40GP, 40HQ, and 45HQ. We handle unloading (devanning), carton and pallet counting, SKU verification against your packing list, and inventory entry into our WMS — tracked in real time. A flat receiving fee applies per container type. Clients using SuperK inbound logistics channels are exempt from the standard receiving/unloading fee.
We require an advance shipping notice (ASN) at least 2–3 business days before delivery. For full containers, book your appointment at least 3 business days ahead. Your ASN should include a packing list with SKU names, quantities per carton, and any special handling requirements. Shipments arriving without prior booking are subject to a surcharge and may experience delays.
If actual dimensions, weights, or quantities differ significantly from what's in your system, a product information discrepancy surcharge applies. If carton marks are missing or unreadable, our team re-verifies and re-labels — an additional per-carton fee applies. We photograph and document all discrepancies and notify you immediately.
Yes — through our sister company we can coordinate inbound freight including port pickup from the Port of Vancouver and inland moves to our Winnipeg and Markham locations. Contact us with your container details for a drayage quote.
We are not a licensed customs broker. Your goods need to be cleared through the CBSA before delivery to our warehouse — this is your responsibility or your freight forwarder's. We're happy to connect you with brokers we work with if you need a referral.
Standard pick and pack covers picking the ordered SKUs from storage, packing into an appropriately sized poly mailer or carton, applying a shipping label, and handing off to the carrier. Processing fees are based on shipment weight — see our full rate card for the tier that applies to your product. Orders received before the 12PM daily cutoff are processed same day.
We ship with Canada Post, UPS, FedEx, Purolator, and UniUni. We compare rates across all five carriers in real time and select the most cost-effective option for each shipment based on weight, dimensions, and destination. Carrier rates are passed to you at cost — we do not mark up postage. Canada Post has no residential or remote area surcharge. UniUni rates are all-inclusive (fuel and tax included). UPS, FedEx, and Purolator rates exclude fuel surcharges billed separately at current weekly rates.
Our primary integration focus is Shopify — orders sync automatically with no manual entry required. We also support Amazon, Temu, Walmart, and other major marketplaces through our WMS. Batch import and API connections are available for custom setups. Contact us about your specific platform.
Every client receives 60 days of complimentary storage from the date your goods are counted and shelved — no conditions, no minimums to qualify. After day 60, tiered storage fees apply per cubic metre per day. Rates differ slightly between Vancouver/Toronto and Winnipeg. See our pricing page for the full storage tier schedule. 60-day free storage applies to all clients at all three locations — this is one of our strongest differentiators in the Canadian 3PL market.
Returns are accepted at all three locations. Each returned unit goes through receiving, inspection (exterior by default, interior inspection available at an additional fee), and then restocking, quarantine, or disposal based on your instructions. A per-unit processing fee applies for receiving and re-shelving. Unclaimed returns are held for 15 days before disposal.
Yes. Our value-added services include SKU relabeling and barcode replacement, palletizing, kitting and bundling, product photography, order intercept and re-routing, inventory counting, dimension and weight re-verification, and destruction and disposal. Services are billed per occurrence — see our rate card for fees.
FBA prep is currently in development and not yet available as a listed service. If you have FBA prep requirements, contact us directly — we can discuss what's possible in the interim on a case-by-case basis.
You pay for what you use. Core charges are: inbound receiving fees (per container or per carton for LCL/air), storage after 60 days (per CBM per day), order processing fees (by shipment weight), and outbound shipping at actual carrier cost. Our full rate card is published at superk3pl.com/pricing — no request needed.
No. All standard fees are published in our rate card. Surcharges that apply in specific situations — oversize parcels, residential delivery, remote postal codes, mixed SKU sorting, missed container appointments — are documented upfront. You will not see unexpected line items on your invoice.
No. Postage is billed at actual carrier cost — we pass our negotiated rates directly to you with zero markup. The shipping line on your invoice reflects what we pay the carrier, nothing more.
Yes. Clients with higher monthly order volumes qualify for custom rate structures. If you're shipping over 500 orders per month or storing significant volume, contact us and we'll put together pricing that reflects your scale.
Invoices are issued monthly and itemized by service category — receiving, storage, processing, shipping, and any VAS. Detailed transaction-level reports are available through our WMS portal. Contact us if you have specific billing or reporting requirements.
We operate three Canadian warehouse locations:

Richmond, BC — 21320 Gordon Way, Richmond, BC V6W 1J8
Winnipeg, MB — 420 Jarvis Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2W 3B1
Markham, ON — 78 Steelcase Rd W, Markham, ON L3R 1B2
Richmond BC — best for importers receiving containers via the Port of Vancouver, or brands with a high concentration of West Coast customers.

Markham ON — ideal for brands shipping into the GTA and Ontario, Canada's largest consumer market.

Winnipeg MB — most cost-effective processing and storage rates; well-positioned for Prairie distribution and central Canada shipping.

We can also split your inventory across multiple locations to reduce your average shipping distance and cost. We'll advise on the optimal split based on your order geography.
Yes. Multi-location inventory splits are fully supported under a single client account. This is common for brands doing national volume who want to reduce average transit time and carrier zone costs across Canada.
Our primary focus is Canadian domestic fulfillment. For cross-border or international shipping requirements, contact us directly to discuss what's possible for your specific situation.
